What is this place?
Kempner.net is the personal web site of Joshua Kempner. A little bit of history: I grew up in the Boston area, then went to Ohio for college. I then headed to Virginia for grad school, where I met my wife Maria. After that, I spent two years as a postdoc in the High Energy Astrophysics Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, MA before going to Bowdoin College as a visiting professor in the Physics & Astronomy Department. In 2006 I left astronomy to work as Senior Imaging Scientist at VisEn Medical in the Boston area.
Most recently, I've been putting most of my non-work time into being a dad. I've posted a few photos of Nora for the curious. Send me an email if you need the username and password.
I spend some of my free time playing and refereeing soccer. I also do the (very) occasional bit of graphic & web design work.
